1 More Day, Enjoy Break

Recap

It has been a dreadfully long time since I last wrote. Some updates from last entry. Skating happened a week later, though with only a few people. It was still pretty fun. The ECE test came back and after getting regrade I got a 95, which was then the highest grade in the class. The other test went well also.

Snow Fence

If I were to go chronologically this would probably be last but I have to talk about it because it rocks. It snowed a lot Wednesday night and we had about 6 inches on the ground. Last night, at 12:30 my friend Jessica and I went out onto the cut and built a fence out of snow. If you are familiar with CMU then you know what the cut is and the fence that is at one end of it. Our snow fence was a smaller model of that one. We built it at the other end of the cut, near the street. We painted both sides. For the people coming to campus the front said "1 MORE DAY", because today was the last day of classes, and for the people leaving the back said "ENJOY BREAK". It took us about 4 hours to do, but it was well worth the effort. I said I would be happy if it stayed intact until 3pm, and it lasted til at least some time after 4:30. At some point some assholes came and knocked it down. That sucks. I did get pictures.

Thanksgiving

Last week was Thanksgiving. I went home. It was nice to relax, see family, eat, and stuff. On Thanksgiving Day morning I ran the Feaster Five, 5 mile road race, for the 5th year in a row. I didn't train much this year but still finished in a respectable 43:48. Although, that may be why my knee hurts so much now (didn't start hurting until Monday though). It was cool to see Missy. She is getting very big. I love chicken soup. I must have had nearly a whole pot full over the weekend.

Class

is done. Yay! Quite exciting. I have 3 finals but nothing until Thursday. I still have an OS homework to do and I want to improve my project I already handed in :-(.

BVW is going to take a lot of my time this weekend when I should be celebrating. We have to get ready for the show and I have a lot to do. It is this coming Tuesday at 6pm in McConomy and it look like it is going to be really good. The work this semester has been great. I have to put together some stuff that will be shown too. Work, work, work. You'd think I'd get a break now that classes are over, but I'm as busy as ever. I go home on the 18th though. I can't wait.

The only bad thing about the end of the semester is that I have several friends who are leaving and not coming back. One is going to study abroad. One is graduating early. One is going to take a semester at Penn State. And one was only taking a semester off from her school visiting here. I will miss them.
